A crossover event involving Pokémon Go and its tabletop version will bring a slew of new features to the mobile game.

Several of Niantic’s augmented reality pocket monsters will be added to the Pokémon Trading Card Game’s expansion set in July. There will be a crossover event for Pokémon Go from June 16 to June 30 to coincide with the launch of several new releases for the mobile game, according to a blog post(opens in a new tab).

Pikachu, in a new form, is one of the most anticipated. The electric mouse will soon be spotted in the wild with a cap on its head. Moreover, this isn’t just any baseball cap; it’s a Pokémon TCG hat, which features two crossed Pokémon trade cards on the front of a blue baseball cap. Wimpod and its developed cousin Golisopod will also be making their debuts at this year’s event.

Challenge accepted

Pokémon TCG: Pokémon Be expansion set pocket monsters are part of six collecting challenges that will go online during this event. To earn XP, Lures, Incubators and the chance to encounter Venasuar, Blastoise, Meltan and Charizard – one of the best fire-type pokémon in Pokemon Go – you’ll have to complete a variety of objectives.

On June 23, there will be an extra three challenges, as well as a number of time-limited raids. The Charged Attack Psystrike is a special move that Mewtwo learns when it is caught in a five-star raid as part of the crossover event.

With its most recent community day on May 21, Pokémon Go hasn’t had a sluggish few weeks. And Amazon Prime subscribers won’t see any reduction in speed. If you’re a member of Amazon’s premium service, you’ll soon be able to take advantage of numerous freebies. A hat-wearing Pikachu, on the other hand, isn’t likely to be among them.
