As if that weren’t enough, BTS is heading to Disney+! Due to a joint venture between Hybe Entertainment, the Korean pop group, and Disney, the enormously popular Korean pop group will make appearances in new shows and specials. In addition to a concert film and a docuseries, Disney’s streaming services will be the exclusive home for the five titles.

To help Disney Plus compete with Netflix, the acquisition of BTS could be an important factor. A devoted fan base, dubbed “Army,” follows the activities of members such as Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V and Jungkook. Because of their recent announcement of a break, these streaming shows should be in high demand.

Here’s what we’ve learned so far.

What are the BTS Disney Plus shows?

Three of the five titles included by the BTS/Disney arrangement have been given some information.

Permission to Dance on Stage — LA is a 4K concert video documenting BTS’ performance at Sofi Stadium in Los Angeles in November 2021, which will be released in 2018. After the pandemic began, BTS had not met fans in person for two years. Billboard No. 1 hits “Butter” and “Permission to Dance” are included in the performance.. According to the group’s official announcement video, the film will be streamed “soon.”

In BTS Monuments: Beyond the Star, a nine-year history of the group is documented. Unprecedented access to V, Suga, Jin, Jungkook, RM, Jimin, and J-Hope as they prepare for the second episode is shown in this documentary. From then until 2023, viewers will be able to watch the show on the internet.

V, Park Seo-jun, Choi Woo-shik, and Park Hyung-sik (from Itaewon Class, Parasite, and Soundtrack #1, respectively) and rapper Peakboy star in the travel show Friendcation, which airs on SBS. The five pals go on a surprise trip and have a blast doing many exciting things. In Korea, JTBC will broadcast the first episode on July 22. It will then air on Disney Plus at a later date.

The other Disney Plus BTS projects remain shrouded in secrecy. However, because V is the sole star of In the Soop, future episodes could highlight the work of the group’s other six members.

It’s possible that one of them will open for J-Hope at Lollapalooza at the end of the month, when he releases his debut solo album, Jack in the Box. In the same way, Jungkook supporters want to see the BTS member working on his debut album, as well as going on tour to promote the album. The same is true for Jimin, who intends to release a solo album that is both “raw” and “explicit.”

RM, a social media star and art enthusiast, might host a show about what he loves (he recently did a podcast from Art Basel). Jin and Suga, who are both 29 years old, may not be able to avoid military service in Korea. However, a light-hearted documentary about their training would be a hit.
