Apple start Accepting Pre-Orders for New MacBook Air With M2 Chip

As of today, you may preorder Apple’s new MacBook Air featuring the M2 processor through the company’s online shop. Deliveries and in-store availability will begin Friday, July 15.

The revamped and upgraded MacBook Air was unveiled at WWDC in June and boasts the first M2 processor in the MacBook Air family since 2010.

An enhanced 1080p camera is housed in a notch on the top bezel, and the body is flat and consistent like the MacBook Pro. There are also new color choices, Starlight and Midnight.

The MacBook Air has two USB-C ports, a charging MagSafe connector, and a 3.5mm headphone jack with high-impedance audio compatibility for connecting peripherals.

A built-in four-speaker audio system offers broad stereo and spatial sounds on the machine. Additionally, it has a three-microphone array built-in.

Up to a 10-core graphics processor and up to 24GB of RAM are included in the next-generation M2 chip. Its CPU, GPU, and Neural Engine are all 40% faster than the M1, giving the M2 a significant performance and efficiency advantage over the M1.

The new MacBook Air has a starting price of $1,199 in the US. The M1 chip-equipped MacBook Air from the previous model is still available for $999.
