First shown in January, Nvidia’s top consumer graphics card the GeForce RTX 3090 Ti has finally been released today.
There are 10752 CUDA cores on the RTX 3090 Ti’s GA102 GPU, which is slightly more than the 10496 CUDA cores of the RTX 3090. Both the RT cores and the Tensor cores have increased in size. Increased from 1.67GHz to 1.86GHz in the base/boost frequency. The GDDR6X memory capacity remains at 24GB, but the speed has been bumped up to 21 Gbps from the previous model’s 19.5 Gbps.
As opposed to the RTX 3090’s 35 TFLOPS, the RTX 3090 Ti is said to have 40 TFLOPS of single precision performance by Nvidia. When compared to the RTX 3090, it is on average 9 percent quicker in gaming. However, the increased power usage comes at a price. The RTX 3090 Ti consumes 100 watts more power than the RTX 3090, at 450 watts.
If you’re looking to create content, Nvidia seems to be pitching the RTX 3090 Ti as the best card for you, concentrating on the 24GB of RAM it offers above its competitors’ 10GB or 12GB. RTX 3090s already have 24GB of RAM, so I’m not sure what this adds.
Even though RTX 3090 was released two years ago, the firm continues to make promises of 8K gaming, which are no more plausible now than they were then.
The Founders Edition model’s exorbitant price of $1999 puts the cherry on top of this bland announcement. That’s a 33% increase over the RTX 3090, despite the company’s own promises of just a 1% gain. Expect to spend a lot more on the current market since this is MSRP.
If you’re looking for the fastest graphics card on the market, you’ll be interested in this card. Even though the RTX 3090 Ti is much quicker than the RTX 3090, it is still the fastest card available. In addition, there are clients for whom money is no problem or who may recoup their investment via the job they conduct on this equipment. Then there are the traders and the cryptocurrency miners. As a result, the demand for it isn’t nonexistent. That’s why GPU makers no longer pretend that pricing need to be reasonable when you can get away with putting any number on the box.
