During Google’s I/O conference in May, the Pixel 6a is scheduled to be unveiled. Naturally, the 6a is the company’s follow-up to last year’s 5a in its inexpensive smartphone range.
Even while the “slab” smartphone world may be becoming a little monotonous, there is still hope for some intrigue in this new age of technology. A fresh leak (via Techxine) reportedly provides us a glance inside the retail packaging for Google’s highly anticipated Pixel 6a, which is slated to be released in the coming months.
Apart from the indication that the Pixel 6a will have the same design as the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro, this leaked picture doesn’t reveal much. The Google logo and the phone’s name are still prominently displayed at the top of the box.
Here’s a picture of what seems to be the retail packaging for the incoming Google Pixel 6a that has yet to be confirmed by a third party. This might mean that Google is attempting to unify its design language throughout its smartphone lineup, since the Pixel 6a has a decidedly Pixel 6-like appearance and bears no resemblance to the Pixel 5a or 4a in any manner.
We hope this works out for the best, and we’re excited about it. There is no better way to identify a Pixel than by looking at the back of the phone and seeing a camera “visor.” For the most part, the Pixel a series has been comprised of reasonably priced phones with cameras that are typically above their price range and other features that are rather adequate. We’ll have to wait and see whether the 6a sticks to the recipe or tries something new.
The absence of a laser focusing sensor and a microphone hole in the visor may be deduced from the box picture, which shows two camera sensors and an LED flash. For a low-cost gadget, none of this is surprising.
The Pixel 6a has been rumoured to sport a 6.2-inch OLED display, dual 12 MP cameras, and a 5,000 mAh battery in the past. Even though it would be a first for a Pixel A phone to do so, the removal of the headphone connector isn’t particularly shocking.
