For those who want to know how the OnePlus 10 Pro beats the OnePlus 9 Pro, here are the details:

The OnePlus 10 Pro has arrived, and there’s a lot to see compared to the OnePlus 9 Pro’s improvements. The 9 Pro was a great phone when it released last year, but OnePlus has made some big improvements in the 10 Pro that have elevated it to the top of our list.
While the 10 Pro has one less camera than the 9 Pro, the quality of the photographs is said to be better, and there are additional camera settings to experiment with. It’s hard to argue with the 10 Pro’s improved processor, better display, and quicker charging standard, all of which go together in hand. If you’ve had the 9 Pro, is it really worth it to go to the 10 Pro? That’s a little more difficult to say.
The OnePlus 10 Pro vs. OnePlus 9 Pro comparison is here.

Price and availability of the OnePlus 10 Pro and OnePlus 9 Pro
Both in the United States and the United Kingdom, you can purchase a OnePlus 9 Pro from a variety of carriers and stores. The most costly model costs $1,069/£929 and comes with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The good news is that you may save money on both by shopping around.
Because the OnePlus 10 Pro starts at $799 for an 8GB RAM/128GB storage option and is much less expensive, this is a good thing. Your decision becomes a little more difficult since it is as affordable as the Pixel 6 Pro for US consumers. In this design comparison, the OnePlus 10 Pro takes on the OnePlus 9 Pro.
The face of the OnePlus 9 Pro and OnePlus 10 Pro are almost identical. There are camera holes in the upper left corner of both screens. The most significant difference is only seen by turning the phones over.
With the Hasselblad branding separating the two bigger lenses from the two smaller ones, OnePlus 9 Pro’s camera block was quite straightforward. This block is extended to the left on the OnePlus 10 Pro, where it meets the side rail. There are three cameras on the back of the OnePlus One, with the fourth one being used as a flash. This is a novel design feature.
When comparing the phones’ specs, you’ll find that their dimensions and weight are just slightly different. In terms of height, breadth, and depth, the two OnePlus phones differ by millimetres, while their weights are separated by less than an ounce. If you’re happy with a 6.7-inch phone, the difference isn’t significant enough to sway your choice.
In this display showdown, the OnePlus 10 Pro takes on the OnePlus 9 Pro.
They both feature AMOLED panels with QHD resolutions of 6.9 inches. As a result, the new phone sports an inch-and-a-half taller display than its predecessor’s 3,168 x 1,440.
The refresh rate is where the real difference is found. Refresh rates may range from 1Hz to 120Hz on both phones, but the underlying technology is different. The OnePlus 9 Pro has the original LTPO display layer, whereas the OnePlus 10 Pro has LTPO 2.0. Despite this, the 10 Pro’s display is smoother and more efficient than the 10’s display.
OnePlus 10 Pro vs. OnePlus 9 Pro: 5G and performance.
As expected, OnePlus has upgraded its chipset to the most recent version from Qualcomm’s catalogue. However, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 CPU, which was utilised in the OnePlus 9 Pro, is expected to be even more powerful and efficient than its predecessor, the Snapdragon 888.
Both 8GB RAM and 128GB storage options are available for the OnePlus 10 Pro, much as the OnePlus 9 Pro. However, the 12GB model is only available outside of the United States.
The 10 Pro achieved single core scores of 995 and multicore scores of 3482 on the Geekbench 5 CPU test. Because to the difference in RAM, our evaluation devices scored lower than the OnePlus 9 Pro’s 1,126/3,685 score. At 3DMark Wild Life Unlimited, the 10 Pro easily outperforms the 9 Pro, scoring 10,221 points and averaging 61 frames per second, as opposed to 5,755 and 34.5fps for the 9 Pro.
It’s standard for both of the Snapdragon 8 series CPUs to be 5G-ready. The OnePlus 9 Pro’s 5G compatibility was erratic owing to the use of multiple 5G bands by different U.S. carriers. For now, we can only hope that the OnePlus 10 Pro gets fixed in time for the company’s worldwide debut of the device.
Comparison between the OnePlus 10 Pro vs the OnePlus 9 Pro in terms of battery life and charging
In this area, the OnePlus 10 Pro beats the OnePlus 9 Pro by a landslide. The OnePlus 10 Pro has a bigger 5,000 mAh battery than the OnePlus 9 Pro, which has a 4,500 mAh battery. Topping our list of the greatest phone battery life is the OnePlus 10 Pro, which scored an astounding 11 hours and 52 minutes on the Tom’s Guide custom battery test while operating at 120Hz. When it comes to battery life, the OnePlus 9 Pro held out for 10 hours and 40 minutes on this same test, but the 10 Pro is far better.
OnePlus has increased the OnePlus 9 Pro’s 65-watt wired charging to 80 watts, making it even more powerful. OnePlus still claims that the 10 Pro will charge from 0% to 100% in 32 minutes, despite the increased battery capacity. When we tested the OnePlus 9 Pro, it went from 0% to 100% in 30 minutes.
The 80W speed, on the other hand, is unavailable in the United States or Canada. According to an official post on the OnePlus Forum, the 10 Pro comes with a 65W charger instead of OnePlus’ charging mechanism, which does not operate with the varied frequency of AC energy used in these countries. That’s a bummer, but 65W still fills the phone to 93% after 30 minutes, so it’s not all bad.
These two phones, the OnePlus 9 and the OnePlus 10, include wireless charging that is capable of 50W. The OnePlus 9 Pro can be charged to 70% in 30 minutes with this technology, provided you’re using the proper charging station. The OnePlus 10 Pro takes 47 minutes to fill to 100% capacity since it has a bigger battery.
OnePlus, unlike Samsung, Google, and Apple, still includes a charging cable with their phones. So you won’t have to pay extra for these insane connected charging speeds.
Comparing the two phones in terms of their software, here are some key differences:
One of the most subtle distinctions between these two phones may be seen in this area. OxygenOS 11, OnePlus’ version of Android 11, is pre-installed on the OnePlus 9 Pro. OxygenOS 12 is pre-installed on the OnePlus 10 Pro, an Android 12 skin developed jointly by OnePlus and Oppo.
Updates to OxygenOS 12 include a new gesture to bring up the Shelf, OnePlus’ widget-filled control centre; and a more adjustable dark mode that allows you choose from one of three alternatives.
When we first tried out OxygenOS 12 on a OnePlus 9 Pro, we were disappointed by the number of issues we encountered. Seeing that the rough edges have been smoothed off is a welcome sight.
Comparison between the OnePlus 10 Pro vs the OnePlus 9 Pro
According to the specifications, the OnePlus 10 Pro is clearly the superior option over the OnePlus 9 Pro. Since its release, it has replaced its predecessor on our top phones and Android phones lists.
Because of its bigger battery, improved performance and more efficient display the OnePlus 10 Pro is a superior option for most users. The photography on the 10 Pro is also superior, unless you insist on the 9 Pro’s monochrome sensor. Using the quicker charging standard is particularly better if you’re not in North America.
It’s possible that the OnePlus 9 Pro may wind up offering greater value for money than the OnePlus 10 Pro whenever it releases, given how much the older model will be reduced. As much as it may be tempting, you’ll be better off conserving your money and sticking with the 9 Pro. This is still an excellent phone even a year after it was released.
