Chris Evans says goodbye to his iPhone 6S and its home button

“If it’s not broken don’t fix it” still holds true for many technology users, even in an era where huge displays and swipey movements are the standard. In an Instagram post, Chris Evans used his 2015 iPhone 6S to show that he was not ready to give up his iPhone 6S.

In a heartfelt dedication to his six-year-old iPhone, Evans writes, “I’ll miss your home button.” As for the nightly competition for your attention, I won’t miss it one bit. Grainy photos, if that’s what you prefer. Or your battery suddenly depletes from 100% to 15% to 0% in a matter of minutes. It was a roller coaster of a ride. “It’s all good, pal.”

The smartphone shown in the image appears to be a smaller version of the iPhone 13 model. In terms of size, it appears to be comparable to the iPhone 6S, which has a somewhat larger footprint.

Evans may have had problems with a degraded battery or a non-cooperative lightning port, based on the sound of things. Because iOS 16 is slated to be released sometime in the fall, the iPhone 6S will no longer be officially supported on OS 15.
