The release of the new iPhone SE and iPad Air seems to be a foregone conclusion.

According to a fresh rumour, the iPhone SE 3 and iPad Air 5 are expected to be on display during Apple’s presentation next week.

There are photographs below that seem to show that one Asian mobile carrier has begun prepping for the debut of Apple’s upcoming mid-range phone and tablet, according to 91Mobiles leaker Evan Blass. Apple’s Peek Performance event has been scheduled on March 8th.

An unknown airline seems to be using these photographs as test or placeholder materials for their online shop. This is why we’ve seen images of the iPad Air 4 and unauthorised renderings of a flat-side iPhone SE before Apple’s official announcements.

In light of the many speculations that this phone and tablet would be released in March, we originally thought this was merely the carrier preparing for the possibility that these devices will be announced next week. Blass notes out in a response to a question on Twitter that carriers have a more direct contact with Apple than accessory producers (like Belkin, who has been preparing for an iPhone SE 3 release as well), so this type of preparedness may be the result of an indication from Apple.

This is the first time that the iPhone SE 3 has been described as a small improvement to the iPhone SE 2020. It will preserve its glass and metal design (along with the Touch ID home button) but will use the more powerful A15 Bionic CPU seen in the iPhone 13 series.

There are also rumours that the iPad Air 5 may have a few tweaks, compared to the major overhaul that took place between the third and fourth-generation iPad Airs in 2012. Center Stage tracking for video and an A15 chip have been speculated enhancements this time around.

That’s not the only thing we’ll see during the Peek Performance presentation, though. Rumors say that the iPad Pro 2022 and one or more new Macs may also be introduced in the near future. It is possible that a revamped Mac mini 2022 or an entry-level MacBook Pro 2022, all powered by the new M-series semiconductors from Apple, will be released in the near future. Source
