New iPhone SE 3, iPad Air 5, and Mac computers might benefit greatly from Peek’s performance.
The title of Apple’s March 8th event is not ambiguous. Expect to see Apple’s upcoming goods boasting about how its silicon outperforms the competition when they’re referred to as “Peek Performance.”
As a result, what new items might we anticipate? As Apple’s low-cost 5G phone has been speculated for months, the iPhone SE 3 seems to be a certainty at this point.
In addition to the new iPad Air 5, a new Mac mini 2022, and a lower-priced MacBook Pro 2022, rumours have circulated concerning more Apple goods that might be shown during the next presentation.
Twitter user Mark Gurman of Bloomberg reports that “Peek performance definitely Equals 5G for the iPhone SE, new Macs with Apple Silicon and iPad Air with an A15.”

The iPhone SE 3
If the rumours are accurate, the iPhone SE 3 might be the quickest phone in its price category. It’s likely to use the same A15 Bionic processor as the iPhone 13, which outperformed Android flagships in our benchmarks. New Samsung Galaxy S22 Plus and Galaxy S22 Ultra with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor are included in this.
The iPhone SE 3 should have no rival in terms of sheer horsepower when it comes to Geekbench 5 single-core or multicore performance, 3DMark graphics tests, or our own home-grown video encoding test. Because of the iPhone SE 3’s diminutive size, a larger battery should be possible with the A15 Bionic chip’s 5nm fabrication process.
Although 5G is a good feature at this price point, it is hardly revolutionary. The reason for this is because 5G phones like the $449 Google Pixel 5a are readily available. This may or may not happen, but I’m leaning towards the iPhone SE 3 getting a better 5G modem than the iPhone 13.

The new iPad Air
The iPad Air 5 is expected to elevate Apple’s performance to a new level in the mid-range tablet market, due to the A14 Bionic CPU in the preceding iPad Air 2020. Since Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S8 and Galaxy Tab S8 Plus are powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 CPU, a switch to the A15 Bionic would offer Apple an even greater advantage.
The A15 Bionic chip’s 4-core GPU is up to 30 percent quicker than the competition and allows more realistic graphics and lighting effects in games on the new iPad Air.
However, performance isn’t the only focus of the A15 Bionic. It opens the door to a slew of new possibilities, such as enhanced computational photography. iPhone SE 3 is also affected.
2022 MacBook Pro
Apple’s new M2 processor might have its public premiere if the entry-level MacBook Pro 2022 is unveiled at the Apple event. By Mark Gurman of Bloomberg, the M2 chip might have the same 8 CPU cores as the M1 but have more GPU cores. However, it’s speculated that Apple’s next MacBook Air 2022 will also be powered by the M2 processor, so this would be a good way to separate it from the present MacBook Air M1.
According to Macworld, the M2 chip’s transistor density might increase by 6%, allowing for as many as 10 CPU cores. There is, however, no guarantee.
Apple’s next Mac mini is expected to be released in 2022
There’s no guarantee that the Mac mini will appear at an Apple event, but rumours suggest that the company plans to introduce two different variants by the middle of 2022. An Apple M1 Pro CPU, which powers the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros, would be used in the initial model.
There are up to 10 cores in the M1 Pro CPU and up to 16 cores in the M1 Pro GPU. Performance is up to 70% quicker than the M1 processor, while GPU performance is up to 2x faster. The upcoming Mac mini might be a real powerhouse with support for up to 32GB of rapid unified memory.
