We expect Apple to hold their Spring event on March 8th.
Apple is expected to have an event in the spring to unveil its new lineup of devices, and since March has here, we may not have to wait too long. Mark Gurman, a well-known Apple insider, stated earlier this month that the company was preparing to have an event on the 8th of March, which is next Tuesday.
Invitations might be given out as early as today, according to MacRumors, as Apple typically sends out invitations a week before the big day. We may also estimate that the invites will come at roughly 9 a.m. PST/12 p.m. EST/5 p.m. GMT based on previous happenings.
Even while last year’s Apple Spring event was held in April, it doesn’t necessarily indicate that this year’s event is going to follow suit. Cupertino, after all, has traditionally had its spring celebrations in March. In the past, Apple’s key events have all taken place on Tuesdays, so Gurman’s prediction for March 8 looks feasible.
In the year since the AirPods 3 and other new products were announced on October 18 of last year, this will be Apple’s first major event since then. Let’s take a closer look at what may be announced this time around.
What can we anticipate from Apple’s Spring event?
The anticipated iPhone SE 3 is expected to be the main attraction. Reports claim Apple will release a cheap smartphone with 5G connection and the same A15 Bionic technology featured in the iPhone 13 range. Also, an analyst’s estimate suggested a $300 price tag, which would be a huge reduction from the current model’s $400 pricing. According to Mark Gurman, the iPhone SE 2020 might be priced at $199, which is more plausible than the current $199 pricing.
The high-end Mac mini is another potential launch candidate for Apple’s Spring event. Apple insiders Mark Gurman and Ross Young have recently reported on similar findings. Before this week’s Apple event, Gurman said he expected “at least one new Mac” announcement, and speculated that it may be the new Mac mini or iMac Pro, both of which are expected to be shown off.
The iMac Pro isn’t scheduled to arrive until the summer, according to Young. As a result, the item in question is most likely the next-generation high-end Mac mini. According to previous reports, the gadget may be powered by a newer Apple silicon processor (likely the M1 Pro and M1 Max seen in the latest MacBook Pro models).
Three Macs were identified in Eurasian Economic Database files earlier in February, as well, as we reported. Two of the Mac gadgets are described as personal computers in the regulatory filings, while the third Mac device is described as a portable computing device (hinting that it could be a new MacBook). Because of this, we may expect to see the MacBook Pro 2022 at the forthcoming Spring event. According to DigiTimes, a new entry-level MacBook is expected to be released in March, which would match the timing of the event.
Other products, including as the AirPods Pro 2, new MacBook Air, iPad Air 5, and the iPad Pro 2022, might be announced during the event. Although the iPhone SE, Mac mini, and MacBook Pro reveals seem to be more likely to occur this month. More information will be available soon, as will live coverage of Apple’s spring event here on MacRumors. Source
