The OnePlus 10 Pro, the company’s latest flagship, has arrived. Here’s what you get for your money.
For the OnePlus 10 Pro, it’s about time for it to arrive in the US and the UK. If you’ve spent the last several months enviously watching Chinese users who got their hands on the phone early, you’ll just have to wait another month or two for OnePlus’ next flagship to go on sale worldwide.
There’s a lot to like about this phone, including a new Hasselblad camera system, a 120Hz display, and an 80W charger. Despite this, Samsung’s Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22 Ultra, as well as Google’s more well-established Pixel 6 Pro, will be tough competitors.
It’s possible that OnePlus will repeat the success of the OnePlus 9 Pro, which we were really delighted with when it arrived last year. For now, however, here’s the lowdown on the OnePlus 10 Pro, in case you’re interested in learning more before we do.
When will OnePlus 10 Pro be released?
In China, the OnePlus 10 Pro is now on sale. The worldwide launch, which includes the United States and the United Kingdom, will take place by the end of March, so the wait for OnePlus enthusiasts outside of China will soon be over.
This year’s OnePlus 10 Pro begins at 4699 yuan, which is a little less expensive than last year’s OnePlus 9 Pro’s beginning price. The 12GB RAM/256GB storage version of the 10 Pro costs 5299 yuan, which is once again less expensive than the 5999 yuan that the OnePlus 9 Pro cost at launch last year.
It’s encouraging to think that the OnePlus 10 Pro will be less expensive than the OnePlus 9 Pro, which launched at $969 in the United States. However, converting currencies to determine local phone pricing can be difficult because different countries have different tax rates and other costs to take into account.

We don’t know when the OnePlus 10 will be released outside of China, and we don’t know whether there will be a normal OnePlus 10 or a OnePlus 10 Pro. A March/April launch date is widely expected for the OnePlus 10 Pro’s U.S. debut, which is in line with the company’s prior flagship releases.
Design of the OnePlus 10 Plus
When it comes to design, rumours of a “finished series 9” were not far off the mark with OnePlus 10 Pro.
The OnePlus 10 Pro may seem similar to the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro, but the camera array is much different. Although it’s just a little square, it’s situated inside an elevated hump. Instead of sticking out like a sore thumb like Samsung’s Galaxy S21 phones, this bulge blends in with the side of the phone.
One other thing we gathered from the OnePlus 10 Pro design unveiling is that OnePlus and Hasselblad will continue to work together in the future. According to a press release, that’s wonderful news, since OnePlus’s cameras have improved greatly thanks to a Swedish lens expert. The OnePlus 10 Pro is expected to provide comparable improvements.
Two colour options are available for the OnePlus 10 Pro: Volcanic Black and Emerald Forest (green).
There are a few things we’ve learnt about this design since the Chinese handsets have found their way to certain content producers, including the fact that it is fragile. Avoid sitting or leaning on the phone if you decide to purchase this one.

The OnePlus 10 Pro will have a 6.7-inch QHD display. The size has not changed, but other aspects of the product have.
For the phone’s display, the company is using new LTPO 2.0 technology, which has a refresh rate of 120Hz. The OnePlus 9 Pro’s first-generation LTPO screen can dynamically scale from 120Hz down to 1Hz when a fast refresh rate isn’t required, and LTPO 2.0 will do the same.
There was no mention of how this may function in practise, although Lau said that LTPO 2.0 will allow for a “new degree of smoothness.” The Nvidia GeForce Now RTX 3080 cloud-based game streaming, however, might be a benefit for fast-action mobile gaming gamers.
The OnePlus 10 Pro’s cameras
Once again, OnePlus and Hasselblad are working together on the OnePlus 10 Pro’s camera system.
With a 48MP primary camera, a 50MP ultra-wide lens, and an 8MP telephoto lens with a 3.3x optical zoom, the new phone has a lot to offer in the photography department. Except for the removal of the monochrome lens from the OnePlus 9 Pro, this is the same arrangement as the OnePlus 9 camera. Although the ultrawide lens offers a 150-degree field of vision option, which is far broader than what you generally see from other smartphones, it has been introduced to the smartphone.
For more accurate and natural-looking tones, the camera can shoot in 10-bit colour from any rear lens. A new Hasselblad Pro 12-bit RAW mode and a new RAW Plus format combine greater detail with post-processing on the Hasselblad Pro. Apple’s Cinematic mode on the iPhone 13 and the Master Style (see below) on the iPhone 12s and 12s Plus sound quite similar to one another, while the latter is evocative of Apple’s Photographic Styles function.
The OnePlus 10 Pro also has a 32MP front-facing camera, a significant upgrade over the 16MP sensor on the OnePlus 9 Pro.
In order to be included in our list of the best camera phones, OnePlus will have to put in a lot of effort on the image signal processing and computational photography fronts.
OnePlus 10 Pro’s features
There is a new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor in the OnePlus 10 Pro The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 claims 20% quicker speed and 30% higher power efficiency over the OnePlus 9’s Snapdragon 888. Gamers may also look forward to better gameplay and AI performance.
Memory is available in 8GB and 12GB varieties. As for storage, there are two options: 128GB and 256GB In China, OnePlus is offering the 8GB/128GB, 8GB/256GB, and 12GB/256GB variants of the phone. The 8GB/128GB and 12GB/256GB models will likely be the only ones marketed worldwide, as has been the case in the past.
80W charging for the OnePlus 10 Pro battery
The OnePlus 10 Pro’s battery capacity and charging speed have been increased. In addition to the improved display, the battery capacity has been increased from 4,500mAh to 5,000mAh, which should result in a considerably longer battery life for this year’s new OnePlus.
OnePlus has increased the charging power of its 65W chargers to 80W, making them even faster. For the remainder of the year, the OnePlus 10 Pro is likely to be the fastest-charging smartphone. OnePlus, on the other hand, includes the charger in the package, so you’ll be able to take use of the phone’s incredible speed right out of the box.
Hardware and software specifications for the OnePlus 10 Pro
OxygenOS 12.1 will be pre-installed on the OnePlus 10 Pro, which means it will come pre-loaded with Android 12. How that got about is, however, intriguing.
For many, the OnePlus 10 Pro was expected to mark a major shift in the company’s products by becoming the first to use a new unified operating system built by Oppo in 2021. As a result of user opposition, it doesn’t seem that such a significant shift will occur. Other OnePlus 10 Pro variants
Because it’s the only version that OnePlus has verified, labelling your phone “Pro” and not releasing a basic version seems counterproductive. If there isn’t already, we hope there is one in order to provide those with more limited finances an opportunity to participate in the OnePlus flagship game.
As of for now, there aren’t any whispers concerning a base model OnePlus 10. There are, however, a few for a OnePlus 10 Ultra to choose from. Sources suggest Oppo’s MariSilicon image processing technology will be used in this upgraded OnePlus 10, while some claim the phone might feature an ultra-wide-angle lens to achieve better zoom magnification. This is the first time OnePlus has introduced an Ultra phone, and it has only been making Pro versions for the last four years.
