What do we know about the comparison between the iPhone 14 and the iPhone 14 Pro? In our estimation, this year’s new iPhone 14 could be a significant surprise for consumers. In addition, I’m not referring to the cost.
For starters, Apple is believed to discontinue the iPhone 14’s tiny variant. Instead, a 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Max is expected to replace the 5.4-inch small. (The iPhone 14 Max has the potential to revolutionize the smartphone market.) This means that there will be two 6.1-inch and two 6.7-inch iPhone 14 variants.
According to the iPhone 14 rumors and leaks I’ve seen so far, this isn’t the most significant development. The iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max are expected to return with 120Hz ProMotion displays, a technology that may only be available on the Pro models going forward. For a real optical zoom, the telephoto lens is likely to have the same issue.
However, we’ve heard that there are many more differences between the iPhone 14 and the iPhone 14 Pro. They have the potential to elevate the Pro to a new level, for better or ill.

However, don’t expect the iPhone 14 Pro’s design to look anything like the best Android phones. For Face ID and the front camera, Apple is said to be replacing the notch with two separate cut-outs located on either side of the display’s chin.

At first, we weren’t convinced by this rumor, but it’s possible. New 4nm A16 Bionic technology is expected to be used exclusively in the iPhone 14 Pro series, according to Ming-Chi Kuo, an analyst for Apple.
The A15 Bionic chip will be used in both the ordinary iPhone 14 and the larger iPhone 14 Max, however there may be an increase in RAM from 4GB to 6GB. A more powerful LPDDR5 memory would be used in the iPhone 14 Pro, which would “be up to one and a half times faster and up to 30 percent more power efficient,” according to Apple.
To be honest, the iPhone 13 benchmarks demonstrate that Apple already had the quickest chip in a phone and probably will continue to do so for the foreseeable future.. However, the iPhone 14 Pro series could see a significant performance improvement.

While this speculation appears to be on hold, earlier rumors have suggested that Apple could replace the iPhone 14 Pro’s 12MP main camera with a 48MP sensor. The image quality of the iPhone 13 Pro is already excellent, but adding additional megapixels would allow consumers to trim their photos more freely and improve low-light and HDR performance.
In a Weibo post, a source claims that the iPhone 14 Pro’s camera will be powered by the IMX703 sensors used in the iPhone 13 Pro. As a result, we have a 12MP camera with 1.9 m pixels and a 1/1.67-inch sensor size. Until more concrete rumors emerge, I’d say an improved Pro camera is only a theoretical possibility.
Periscope zoom for the iPhone is reported to be in the works at Apple, but it’s not expected until 2023.
iPhone 14 vs iPhone 14 Pro: Always-on display for Pro
According to one report, the iPhone 14 Pro series could include an always-on display thanks to the device’s ProMotion display. To quickly see the clock, notifications, or widgets without having to turn on the phone, this would be a useful feature for consumers. The iPhone 14 Pro series 1-120Hz refresh rate would make this possible. That’s why in always-on mode, the panel’s refresh rate will lower.

Here’s a rumor about the iPhone 14 that’s becoming less credible as the debut date approaches. The iPhone 14 Pro was previously rumored to have USB-C connectivity. A 3x optical zoom is expected for the next iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max, but the standard iPhone 14 series will only offer digital zoom.
Last but not least, even though it may seem like overkill for a phone, the iPhone 14 Pro series might have up to 2TB of storage.
iPhone 14 vs iPhone 14 Pro: Bottom line
The iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max, especially if there is a 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Max, require Apple to convince consumers that the premium is worth it. The iPhone 14 Max is already excellent enough for many people, so there’s no reason to switch to the Pro, in my opinion.
It appears that the iPhone 14 Pro offers a new powerful processor as well as full-screen design without a notch, an improved camera, and more storage than the iPhone 13s and 12s models combined. ProMotion display and telephoto zoom are also included. iPhone 14 Pros may truly feel like a high-end smartphone.
