Using Apple’s Live Text feature in macOS Monterey, you can easily copy or share text that displays in images in Safari, Photos, Quick Look, and elsewhere. If text auto-detection is causing you problems, you may disable it. It’s explained in detail in this article.
What is the procedure to disable Live Text on macOS?
- System Preferences may be accessed through the Apple menu, the Dock, or the Applications folder on your Mac.
- Go to the Preferences menu, and then Language & Region.
- Uncheck the item next to Live Text: Select Text in Images in the General tab.
By doing this, the text recognition icon and the Live Text contextual menu will no longer appear when interacting with photos.
