In the last few days, an official-looking banner for the online debut of a new Poco C40 phone has appeared. The new model is expected to be introduced on June 16.
The Poco C40 hasn’t appeared in many rumours yet, but one significant leak says that it could be a rebranded Xiaomi Redmi 10C (Global), which in turn shares the majority of its specifications with the Redmi 10. (India). The three can be compared here.
It’s hard to tell the two phones apart from their outward appearances, but our current thinking is that the Redmi 10 (India) should be the basis for the Poco C40 because of its larger 6,000 mAh battery.
We’re also expecting a basic 6.7-inch HD+ LCD display with a teardrop notch for the Poco C40’s 5MP selfie camera, but that’s about it. According to reports, it has a 50MP, f/1.8 main camera and a 5MP depth camera.
The Snapdragon 680 4G chipset should power the Poco C40’s internals, which might include up to 4GB of RAM and up to 64GB of expandable UFS2.2 storage. According to reports, the phone’s additional features include dual-SIM compatibility; an IR blaster; FM radio; Gorilla Glass 3 protection; a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner; and NFC in some areas.
Despite the lack of pricing information, it is evident that this is a low-cost product. According to the current prices of the Redmi 10C and the Redmi 10 (India), we may predict that the price of the Xiaomi Redmi 10 will be approximately EUR 100. Particularly when it comes to the most basic Poco C40 model, which has 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage.
