Teslas are renowned for popularizing the enormous dashboard touchscreen, but as Tesla owners are all too aware of, you cannot use Android Auto or Apple CarPlay to connect your phone to that screen. But what if there was a route, albeit a very complicated one?

For the “Tesla Android Project,” developer Micha Gapiski has been working for a while, and he just presented a functional solution. This was caught on camera:

The CarPlay UI is now running in the browser, as the keen-eyed among you may have observed. That’s not exactly true; instead, a screencasting solution was pieced together using the car’s browser.
