Actress Emmy Rossum, well known for roles in “Shameless” and “The Day After Tomorrow,” will star in an upcoming Apple TV+ anthology thriller called “The Crowded Room.”
Rossum joins Amanda Seyfried and Tom Holland in the new series, which was just revealed.
Kornel Mundruczo has also signed on to helm the whole ten-episode first season of the series, according to The Hollywood Reporter. “Star Trek: Strange New Worlds” writer Akiva Goldsman is penning the script, which will be released by Paramount Pictures in 2019.
There are “the genuine and inspiring experiences of folks who have fought and learnt to effectively live with mental illness,” according to Apple, in this “a compelling anthology” series. This season has been regarded as “a gripping thriller” by critics.
There has been no announcement of a release date for the film or its streaming service.
