Here’s what you get with the OnePlus 10 Pro, the company’s latest flagship.
Now that the OnePlus 10 Pro is available for purchase in China, it’s just a matter of time until it becomes available in the United States and the United Kingdom. While we wait, we may take pride in the impressive spec sheet that has been released.
OnePlus has finally revealed all of the details of its upcoming One smartphone, and oh, what a phone it is. A few of our favourite features include the 80W charging, the new 120Hz display, and the new Hasselblad cameras.
There is a lot of pressure on this new phone to live up to its predecessor. After all, we were rather pleased with the OnePlus 9 Pro. Until then, here’s all you need to know about the OnePlus 10 Pro.
Science and technology (updated February 22)
According to a cringe-inducing durability test, the OnePlus 10 Pro may be a little flimsy.
Do you think the Pro model isn’t adequate for your needs? There are some reports about the OnePlus 10 Ultra, which is said to include an 8x optical Zoom periscope camera.
After the debut of OnePlus 10 Pro in March, a ‘Unified OS’ update is expected for all existing OnePlus devices in April, according to a fresh leak.
Once the OnePlus 10 Pro is available in the United States and the United Kingdom, we argue that a normal OnePlus 10 should be released to complement it.
Date and cost of the OnePlus 10 Pro
The OnePlus 10 Pro is currently on sale in China, where it went on sale on January 13 for a formal launch date. The starting price is 4699 yuan, which is somewhat less expensive than the OnePlus 9 Pro’s 4699 yuan price tag. The 12GB RAM/256GB storage version of the 10 Pro costs 5299 yuan, which is less than the 5999 yuan launch price of the top-end OnePlus 9 Pro last year.
Since regional tax rates and other expenditures must be taken into account when determining local phone pricing, we can only hope that the OnePlus 10 Pro will be less expensive when it launches in the United States than the OnePlus 9 Pro, which started at $969.

When the phone will be released outside of China is still up in the air, and we don’t know whether the OnePlus 10 Pro will be the only model available. You may be wondering when the OnePlus 10 Pro will be available in the United States. According to the latest speculations, the phone is expected to go on sale in March or April.
Design of the OnePlus 10 Pro
According to rumours, the OnePlus 10 Pro will have a “refined series 9” design.
In spite of the OnePlus 10 Pro’s similarity to the previous OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro, the camera array is significantly different. Despite its size, it’s tucked away in a prominent hump. Like Samsung’s Galaxy S21 series, the hump merges into the side of the phone, much like the contour cut design.
With the OnePlus 10 Pro design unveiling, we also discovered that OnePlus and Hasselblad are still working together. OnePlus 9 series cameras have improved substantially thanks to the expertise of the Swedish lens specialist. Like the OnePlus 10 Pro, we’re expecting to see comparable advancements.
Two colour options are available for the OnePlus 10 Pro: Volcanic Black and Emerald Forest (green).
We’ve learnt a few things about this design, such as how fragile it is, because the Chinese handsets have reached certain content providers. You should be careful not to sit or lean on this phone if you purchase it.
The OnePlus 10 Pro’s display
This time around, the OnePlus 10 Pro has a 6.7-inch QHD display. The size has not altered, but other aspects of the vehicle have.
With a 120Hz refresh rate and innovative LTPO 2.0 technology, the phone’s display will be one of the most responsive on the market. The OnePlus 9 Pro’s first-generation LTPO screen, which can dynamically scale from 120Hz down to 1Hz when a rapid refresh rate isn’t required, will also provide for an overall smoother display with LTPO 2.0.
Lau remarked that LTPO 2.0 would provide a “new degree of smoothness,” but he didn’t elaborate on how it would operate in practise. Nonetheless, gamers who like fast-paced mobile games, or those who want to take advantage of Nvidia’s GeForce Now RTX 3080 cloud-based game streaming, may find this to be a godsend.

Pro version of OnePlus 10’s camera
OnePlus and Hasselblad have teamed up for the cameras of the OnePlus 10 Pro for the second time in a row.
All three cameras on the new phone are capable of capturing images with a 3.3x optical zoom. The OnePlus 9 Pro has a similar setup, except for the removal of a dedicated monochrome lens. However, a 150-degree field of vision option has been introduced to the ultrawide lens, making it far broader than the field of view on other smartphones.
For more realistic and exact tones, the camera capabilities include the ability to shoot in 10-bit colour from any rear lens. You may now shoot in 12-bit RAW with an improved Hasselblad Pro mode and the RAW Plus format, which incorporates greater detail with post-processing. The Master Style (example seen below) is similar to Apple’s Photographic Styles function, while the new Movie Option sounds a lot like the Cinematic mode Apple introduced to the iPhone 13 series.
An upgrade to 32MP front-facing cameras was also included in the 10 Pro’s front-facing camera, which was formerly 16MP.
In order to be included in our list of the best camera phones, OnePlus will have to put in a lot of effort in the areas of image signal processing and computational photography.
Specs of the OnePlus 10 Pro
Powering the OnePlus 10 Pro is Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor. 20 percent higher performance and 30 percent more power efficiency over the OnePlus 9’s Snapdragon 888 processor are promised by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. Gaming and AI performance are anticipated to get a boost as well.
There are two sizes of memory available: 8GB and 12GB. There are two capacities available: 128GB and 256GB. Additionally, there are two storage possibilities. In China, OnePlus is offering the 8GB/128GB, 8GB/256GB, and 12GB/256GB variants of the phone. In terms of worldwide sales, we’d expect to see just the 8G/128G and 12G/256G models.
Battery life for the OnePlus 10 Pro and its 80W charger
The OnePlus 10 Pro’s battery and charging power have both been increased by OnePlus. In addition to the more efficient display, the battery capacity has been increased from 4,500 mAh to 5,000 mAh, which should result in much longer battery life than the OnePlus 9 series’ disappointingly short duration.
OnePlus has increased its 65W charging speed to an impressive 80W. So, the OnePlus 10 Pro should remain at the top of this year’s list of quickest charging smartphones. OnePlus, on the other hand, is providing the charger in the package, so you’ll be able to take use of the phone’s incredible speed right out of the box.
Pro version software for the OnePlus 10
The deeper ties between OnePlus and Oppo will be evident in the OnePlus 10 Pro, which will mark a significant shift in the company’s product lineup. Oxygen OS and Color OS, the respective Android operating systems from both businesses, will be combined into a single operating system for smartphones.
CEO Pete Lau has announced that the new operating system will be pre-loaded on OnePlus 10 Pro when it goes on sale later this year. Upgrades will be available for OnePlus smartphones older than the OnePlus 8, according to the announcement.
Uncertainty surrounds when and how current OnePlus smartphones will get this update, which some reports indicate will come in April.
“Lau said that OnePlus and Oppo smartphones throughout the world would now run on a single, improved operating system. OxygenOS and ColorOS will be combined into a more powerful OS, with OxygenOS’s speed and smoothness and ColorOS’s stability and extensive functionality.””
According to the OnePlus 10 Pro’s official spec sheet, the new operating system will be called Oxygen, and longtime OnePlus users will be hoping for the same near-stock Android experience.
OnePlus 10 Plus and 10 Pro
However, labelling your phone “Pro” without providing the basic model doesn’t make sense to us at this time. That’s why we’re wondering whether the OnePlus 10 will have a lower-cost version, and we hope it does, so that more people can participate in the OnePlus flagship game.
As of for now, there aren’t any whispers concerning a base model OnePlus 10. There are, however, a few OnePlus 10 Ultras available. This upgraded OnePlus 10 may feature Oppo’s MariSilicon image processing technology or a periscope telephoto camera for increased zoom magnification, according to two separate reports. Unofficial renders of the phone’s design can be seen in the gallery below.
The OnePlus patent images seem to depict a OnePlus 10-like phone with a bigger periscope camera, similar to the OnePlus 10.
Only four years have passed since OnePlus began making Pro models before releasing the first Ultra phone. In light of the fact that phones like the Galaxy S22 Ultra and the iPhone 13 Pro Max have raised the bar for flagship phone performance, it’s not surprising that OnePlus would want to enter the fray.
The future of the OnePlus 10 Pro is bright
In terms of specs, the OnePlus 10 Pro seems to have what it takes to be a top-tier smartphone in 2019. It’s not until the phone leaves China for its worldwide premiere in a few months’ time that we can verify or deny that.
The OnePlus 10 Pro’s display and quick charging capabilities are expected to be its most popular features. We’re worried about the new Oppo-ified software’s user experience, but we’ll see what happens.
The OnePlus 10 Pro’s cameras will be our primary focus, since they will be up against the iPhone 13 Pro and the Google Pixel 6 Pro in our comparison tests. Hasselblad’s participation in the OnePlus 9 Pro signified a significant improvement in the company’s photography. But there is a lot of competition for a place on our list of the best photography phones.
