The Crowded Room, an anthology series coming to Apple TV+, will include actress Amanda Seyfried.
Tom Holland and Amanda Seyfried will feature in “The Crowded Room,” which has just been confirmed. “All My Children” and “As the World Turns” are two of her most popular soap opera roles.
Seyfried will portray Rya, a single mother and professional psychologist, according to Deadline. As she takes on the most difficult case of her career, she is compelled to put the needs of her patients above everything else.
“Inspirational tales of persons who have fought and learnt to effectively live with mental illness” will be the focus of the new documentary series. It was written and produced by Oscar-winning Akiva Goldsman.
Every season will have a new tale with the same cast and a similar concept. The 10-episode first season’s tale is based on Goldman’s actual life and influenced by Daniel Keyes’ book “The Minds of Billy Milligan.” Milligan was the first person to be found not guilty of a crime due to his dissociative identity disorder, formerly known as multiple personality disorder.
Alexandra Milchan of EMJAG Productions and Arnon Milchan, Yariv Milchan, and Michael Schaefer of New Regency share executive producer credits. The film is being co-produced by Apple Studios and New Regency Films.
“The Crowded Room” is available for $4.99 per month on Apple TV+ or as part of the Apple One subscription package. “The Crowded Room” has no set release date as yet.
