The Reno7 Lite was a rebranded version of the Reno7 Z 5G that was released earlier this year. The Oppo Reno8 Lite is rumoured to arrive in various European markets as a rebranded version of the device.
The Reno7 Lite has already arrived in Europe, which is odd (e.g. Czechia, Hungary, Romania, Slovakia). According to WinFuture’s claim, the phone is still the same one, even down to the pre-installed Android 11 operating system.
Other specs include a 6.43-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 1,080 x 2,400 pixels, an 8-gigabyte RAM and 128-gigabyte storage (plus a microSD slot), a 64-megapixel primary camera (plus two 2MP helpers), and a 16-megapixel front-facing camera, all powered by a 4,500mAh battery with 33W fast charging.
The price of the Reno7 Lite has not yet been announced, however in Romania it costs RON 1,750, or €355, while in Slovakia it costs €380. The new model name isn’t expected to raise the price.
In any event, we’re baffled as to why Oppo would choose to launch the Reno8 series with a mid-range device that’s been renamed twice.
