Finally, Oculus Quest 2 may have greater video recording capabilities.

Streamers, pay attention. You may soon be able to capture 16:9 films on the top VR headset, the Oculus Quest 2 (formerly known as the Meta Quest 2).
According to Oculus product manager Clorama Dorvilias who was responding to a comment on Twitter, Meta is aiming for a public introduction of new video production capabilities in May.
For the time being, Dorvilias believes that the public launch will occur in May, although he expects it to happen sooner rather than later due to ongoing privacy and security evaluations, revisions in design and code, etc.
People who desire to take footage of their virtual reality experiences can greatly benefit from this. Video can only be recorded at 30 frames per second in a 1:1 aspect ratio on the Quest 2.
On social media platforms like Instagram and Facebook, such videos are entirely permissible. When it comes to uploading videos to YouTube, 16:9 with a larger range of frame rates is preferable.
To capture 16:9 videos, you’ll need to connect the headset to a PC via a wire and then use a third-party programme to change the headset’s settings. In a way, this is counter to the Quest 2’s promise of an all-in-one VR experience.
The new video recording capabilities aren’t clear on what Meta plans to use them for, although a broader selection of aspect ratios and frame rates would seem like a safe choice
Our best guess is that these tools were created to capture and export films appropriate for viewing on sites like YouTube and Twitch, given Dorvilias’ assertions of favourable response from artists. In any case, it doesn’t seem like we’ll have to wait too long for an update to the Quest 2 that puts video recording in the spotlight.
