Finally, YouTube TV for iOS has picture-in-picture

On iOS, YouTube finally added picture-in-picture mode to its YouTube TV app. iOS 15 and newer devices will soon be able to take use of the functionality, which has been available on Android for some time.

Users may quit the app by swiping up from the bottom, and the iPhone/iPad will return to the device’s home screen, while the movie continues to play PIP. Resize and drag the window around the screen after that.

You may use this feature right now if you have a YouTube Premium subscription (on Android or iOS) and want to listen to the audio of a video even if your device is locked. In the past, Google has said it intends to make PIP available to all users in the United States, but this hasn’t occurred yet, according to our research.
