To cap off an incredible preseason, the Gunners defeated London rivals Chelsea 4-0 at Camping World Stadium in Orlando in front of a record crowd. Four different Arsenal players scored, but Chelsea’s preseason continued to disappoint with another dreadful showing in front of a packed Emirates Stadium crowd.

First-half goals from Gabriel Jesus and Olivier Giroud gave Arsenal a commanding lead against Chelsea in a frantic encounter at Emirates Stadium on Saturday night. Martin Odegaard’s second-half goal was the result of a similar quick-fire play as Arsenal went into halftime with a 2-0 lead.

In the second half, Chelsea switched back to its standard 3-4-3 shape and things looked better early on, but the Blues failed to produce a goal, as their goal-scoring woes from last year persisted.

After a slew of substitutions by both teams, it was Arsenal who found the net twice more with more aggressive, fast-paced attempts following a plethora of substitutions by both teams. Chelsea goalkeeper Edouard Mendy made two saves in quick succession before Saka pounced on a rebound and Sambi Lokonga headed the ball into the back of the net.

Arsenal’s remarkable preseason performance includes a perfect five victories out of five. Aside from that, the team has beaten Ipswich Town and Nurnberg along the way. As the final game of their preseason tour, they will take on Sevilla on Saturday, July 30 at Emirates Stadium in London.

Charlotte FC’s 1-1 draw with Chelsea earlier in the week had left the Blues needing a late goal to beat Club America before that. Next Friday, they play against Italian club Udinese in their final preseason match.
