This is happening a lot sooner than we anticipated.
According to a fresh source, Apple executives are expected to take the stage on or around March 8 to reveal an apparent 5G-enabled iPhone SE 3 at an event that has been rumoured for some time.
Mark Gurman, a Bloomberg reporter, has provided us with this information. A seasoned Apple and tech writer, Gurman has been mainly dependable. When it comes to the accuracy of Apple-related news, Gurman comes in second with an accuracy rating of 85.5%, according to the website Apple Track.

As of today, reports claim that the iPhone SE 3 will include 5G connectivity and Apple’s A15 Bionic processor for roughly $400. However, it could seem less smooth than the iPhone 13 and more like an iPhone 8 with improved internals, as opposed to a completely new design like the iPhone 13. MyDrivers, a Chinese website, argues that the iPhone XR’s body might be used instead. We’ll just have to wait and see what happens here.
Gurman believes that in addition to the iPhone SE 3, the iPad Air 5 will be on display. According to Gurman, iOS 15.4 will be released in March as well.
Since the beginning of the epidemic, Gurman’s sources have informed him that this event would remain a virtual one, like the other Apple events. However, we can at least be certain that the quality of the finished product will be superb.
Gurman expects Apple will release its “largest crop of new gadgets ever in a single year” in 2022, including the iPhone SE 3 and iPad Air 5. A new high-end Mac mini and iMac Pro, both featuring Apple hardware, are reportedly in the works, although Gurman did not go on to indicate what additional products we may see during the year. There’s a chance that a new Mac Pro desktop may appear as well.
There’s no way to confirm or deny these stories, and as with any supply-constrained epidemic, there’s always the possibility of changes.
The iPhone 14 series is expected to appear in 2022, since Apple launches a new iPhone every year. The Apple Watch 8 is expected to be released in the autumn as well. Apple’s VR/AR headset had also been rumoured to be released in 2022, but Gurman now thinks that it’s more likely to be released in 2023.
