As one of the Apple Watch’s biggest advantages, you don’t need your iPhone in your hand or even in your pocket all the time to stay connected to alerts.
Notifications will appear on your iPhone if your phone is unlocked. Unless you’ve set up a password on your Apple Watch, you’ll still get alerts on your iPhone even if it’s locked or sleeping.
However, what if you don’t want all of your alerts from particular applications to ding your wrist all the time on your Apple Watch? Fortunately, changing how you get alerts on your Apple Watch is a simple process.
You have the option of adding alerts to the iPhone’s Notification Summary, muting them for an hour or the day, or turning them off entirely for a specific app. For more information, read on.
Swipe down from the top of the screen to see the Notification Center after raising your Apple Watch.
Tap the More (three dots) icon after swiping left on a notice.
You may see any or all of the following choices depending on the app: Turn off Time Sensitive, mute for 1 hour, mute for today, add to summary, and then turn off.
Even if you’re utilising a Focus mode that delays most messages, time-sensitive alerts are sent promptly. You may, however, opt out of even the most urgent alerts by selecting this option.
Open the Watch app on your iPhone, then touch the My Watch tab to update or restore specific app’s notification settings on your Apple Watch. You’ll see a list of applications with specific notification settings when you tap Notifications.
