Gmail allows users to schedule emails to be sent later on their iPhone and iPad, unlike Apple Mail. An explanation of the process is provided in this article.
When was the last time you attempted to remember to send an email to someone on a certain day in the near future, but ended up forgetting to do so when the time came? If that’s happened to you before, setting up recurring emails might be the right solution.
Google’s Gmail lets you plan emails to be sent on specified dates in the future, whether it’s a special occasion like a birthday or an important business meeting.
- On get started, download the free Gmail app to your iPhone or iPad and sign in to your Gmail account. This is a pre-requisite.
- Then, just follow the instructions outlined in the following paragraphs.
- In the Gmail app, touch the Compose button in the bottom-right corner of the screen to begin writing your message.
- Enter the recipient’s email address, followed by the subject and content of the message, to begin writing your new email.
- In the upper-right corner of the screen, click the More (three-dot) button.
To transmit the schedule, use the Schedule send button. - A choice of tomorrow morning (08:00), tomorrow afternoon (13:30), or Monday morning (8:00) may be made by tapping Pick date & time, then adjusting the schedule parameters using the onscreen choices before clicking Save.
Once you’ve picked a time and date, your email will be sent at that time. To cancel a planned email, press Undo and the email will be automatically stored in your “Drafts” folder. You may choose to Cancel sending any planned emails that are now in your Gmail account’s “Scheduled” folder.
