Hello, Guys welcome back Learn How to Close or Force Quit iPhone Apps. Apple developed its iPhone software so that you don’t have to close an app when you’re not using it because most apps that aren’t in use remain in a suspended state and don’t consume any resources or battery life.
If an iOS app becomes unresponsive, you may need to forcibly stop and restart it to get it working properly again. Here’s how to do that on both old and new iPhones.
- How to measure distance with Google Maps, on PC or mobile
- How to create your own Facebook avatar, arrived to replace tired emojis
How to Close Apps on iPhones With a Home Button
- To see your most recently used apps, double-click the Home button.
- Swipe left or right to find the app you wish to close.
- To close the app, swipe up on the preview card.
How to Close Apps on iPhones With No Home Button
On iPhones without a Home button, a whole different set of gestures are used, one of which involves the App Switcher and the way open apps are found and closed.
- Swipe up from the bottom of the screen on the iPhone’s Home screen, or while in an app, and pause for a time while still tapping the screen, then let go when the App Switcher displays.
- Swipe left and right across the app cards until you find the app you want to close.
- To close the app, use a rapid upward swipe.
It’s worth noting that there’s usually no need to close apps to boost performance because Apple has built-in management systems for dealing with all of the apps that are open on your device.
According to Apple, force quitting an app will not improve your battery life, and it’s possible that doing so can actually drain battery because it causes the iPhone to load it all over again.
