Unconfirmed information has emerged regarding the Xiaomi 12 Ultra, which is the high-end version of the Xiaomi 12 that we’ve previously seen. Even while there were some sceptics, it currently seems like an Ultra model will be released in July or August.
Xiaomiui and Digital Chat Station (via Notebookcheck) provide the newest advice: Model number 2206122SC and internal codename L2S have been found in Xiaomi’s internal database for the Xiaomi 12 Ultra.
Both sources suggest that the Xiaomi 12 Ultra might be on sale as early as July, August, or September of 2022. So, this year’s plan doesn’t appear to line up neatly with the launch of the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra in March.
The statistics on Xiaomi
The Xiaomi 12 Ultra was first considered to be a follow-up to the Xiaomi Mi Mix 4 Pro, which we saw last year. However, it has now been confirmed that the Xiaomi 12 Ultra will not be a follow-up to the Xiaomi Mi Mix 4 Pro.
For one thing, not all of Xiaomi’s handsets are available outside of China, so it might be tough to keep track of them all. Despite their December debut, the Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12 Pro have yet to make their worldwide debut.
Xiaomi’s 12 might be released in February or March in other countries, thus the Xiaomi 12 Ultra won’t be available for purchase for at least another few months.
An evaluation of what we’ve learned so far
The Xiaomi 12 Ultra will be based on the same basis as the Xiaomi 12, which was introduced earlier this year. It should have a lot more in terms of features and high-quality components.
With the number of lenses said to be installed on the back module, you can anticipate the phone to be capable of taking some spectacular images and videos, if the reports are to be believed.
Xiaomi is expected to include a large camera bump as well, so we’ll have to see how well they design it. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 CPU is expected to power the Ultra variant, like the previous phones in this series.
There will be a price for all of this power and performance, however. The Xiaomi 12 Ultra is estimated to cost about £1,199 or AU$1,799 (approximately $1,630), but it is not expected to be available in the United States.
