The new design and colour possibilities for the MacBook Air 2022 are seen in these images.
Rumored MacBook Air 2022’s design has been given a fresh appearance thanks to a series of new renderings. As well as being eye-catching.
ZoneofTech, a YouTuber, created these MacBook Air 2022 renderings. From what we know so far, the MacBook Air will come in many different colours, including an Alpine Green that debuted on Apple’s iPhone 13 earlier this year.
Although Apple is supposedly working on a foldable OLED MacBook with LG, this would be the most significant MacBook revamp in years. It won’t be in place until after 2025.
The MacBook Air 2022 is expected to ditch the wedge form of the current Air lineup in favour of a flat, rounded design similar to the most recent MacBook Pro models. This has been anticipated for some time.
Although the next Air is expected to feature a notch-free display, these images also show showcase the design, which includes thinner screen bezels and a new display notch for the MacBook Pro.
Indeed, according to ZoneofTech, “I’m virtually extremely positive I have a near 100 percent correct idea of how the next MacBook Air will look like.”
The Apple M2 processor, which differs from the M1 Pro and M1 Max silicon in concentrating on efficiency rather than sheer power, is also expected to power the MacBook Air 2022. For the MacBook Air, this is a reasonable compromise. Rather than targeting experts, the Air line is aimed towards more casual users who value portability above raw performance.
The next-generation MacBook Air is also expected to follow the MacBook Pro’s lead in terms of port selection. MagSafe charging and an HDMI port had been speculated for the MacBook Air M1 and would be a nice addition, considering the current model only has two USB-C connectors. Even though an SD card reader would be great, it’s likely to be exclusive to the MacBook Pro.
The display of the MacBook Air 2022 has also been rumoured to get a major update. Current Air versions include an LCD display, however a mini-LED display might be installed in their place. A rehash of the MacBook Pro 2021, this would be a nice update anyway. The MacBook Air’s initial price would almost surely rise beyond $1,000 if the display was replaced with a mini-LED one. It is possible that the upcoming MacBook Air will continue to have an LCD display, notwithstanding these reports.
In the meanwhile, we’ll have to wait and see whether reported changes and features really come to fruition, and how similar these renderings are to the real thing. Assuming what we’ve heard so far proves true, the next MacBook Air might be one to remember.
