There you have it, the current state of knowledge on A Quiet Place 3.
That’s right, didn’t you? The news about A Quiet Place 3 just came out, and it’s making my head spin. But even if the movie is occurring, Paramount’s new phrasing about it makes no sense at all.
This picture has yet another release date, no matter how many questions we may have about what’s going to happen in it and who’s going to play the lead. In addition to that, it was revealed who would no longer be contributing to the project.
After A Quiet Place 2’s opening weekend haul of $58 million, we know for sure that there will be a strong demand for more muted horror mayhem.
A Quiet Place 2 was a resounding success, even though the film industry rebounded after Covid-19 shattered film production schedules. A post-pandemic release even managed to break the record in the United States.
Director John Krasinski has apparently always had ideas for additional storylines floating around since even before A Quiet Place 2 was released. Emily Blunt has said that Krasinski has a “whole arc of fresh ideas” for future stories in the post-apocalyptic universe of A Quiet Place.
There’s a lot of conflicting information regarding what A Quiet Place 3 would be like as a title, production, and film from a fast internet search. There’s been a lot of speculation about whether or not Krasinski is directing a straight-up threequel or perhaps a spin-off.
However, as Deadline has revealed, A Quiet Place 3 will no longer be considered a three-quel but will instead be marketed as the third part in the monster film series in order to “expand upon the post-apocalyptic universe depicted in the previous two films.”
One possible outcome is the return of the original film’s marauding carnivores, but with a new cast and setting. However, the verdict is yet out as to what to anticipate.

Date of A Quiet Place 3’s release
This is a complete mess. Next year’s episode of “@quietplacemovie” will be directed by Michael Sarnoski, according to a tweet from Paramount Plus. Part III of #AQuietPlace will be released in 2025.
So, that’s all. 🙂 When A Quiet Place Part III is released in 2025, it will be one of two films in the series. Anyone may guess what the 2023 film will be.
A Quiet Place 3 (which was to be written and directed by Jeff Nichols, the director of Mud and Midnight Special) was originally scheduled for release in 2022, however that date has now been pushed back to 2023. Afterwards, Paramount changed it to March 31, 2023.
Unfortunately, according to Deadline, Nichols and Paramount have broken up their collaboration on the film. While Krasinski’s statement that Nichols was “really the only person I had in mind when asked if I would hand this off” in an interview with Empire published on July 15 is troubling, don’t give up hope just yet.
Following A Quiet Place II’s box office success, Deadline reports that “leading agencies are already presenting ideas for Nichols’ successor and the studio will move quickly as this project remains a high priority.”
The cast of A Quiet Place 3.
A parallel storyline amongst the monster-infested environment of A Quiet Place would not be expected to include characters like Blunt, Jupe, Symons, or the new cast member from the second film, Cillian Murphy;
A fresh tale with new characters and cast members makes more sense than a few cameo appearances.
The storyline of A Quiet Place 3.
To a large extent, A Quiet Place 3’s events will be influenced by how it connects to its predecessors’ universes. A Quiet Place 2 and A Quiet Place 3 might be connected in some way, as some fans still hope. As an alternative, this may represent the beginning of a new chapter after Part II.
Both scenarios provide plenty of material for a new film to explore, including how this Earth came to be infested by aliens with hyper-alert hearing. Alternatively, the storey may take a completely other turn, examining other groups of people who have chosen to live in complete silence, learning about their strategies for surviving, and who knows what else they would need to do so.
Krasinski has lots of ideas for both a sequel to the Abbott family and for a tangential picture, according to Blunt, who said that Krasinski “wanted to see how people reacted to this one (A Quiet Place 2) before he completely engaged his brain on the third one.” He has some fantastic ideas, though.”
According to Krasinski in an interview with Empire, “Is it going to continue the Abbotts? What the heck could happen? … You won’t believe me, but I’ll tell you for sure… As for the next instalment, I’m really looking forward to it because of what it’s going to accomplish. To say the least, that’s a lot of words for not much. But he did offer us something to think about, near the conclusion of Part II: “The ending of the final shot is, now that the world knows [the signal that the animals are sensitive to], what will the world do? Yes, or no, will they be accountable for their actions?
Regan Abbott (Millicent Simmonds) and her quest to track out the source of a weird radio transmission that played “Beyond the Sea” inexplicably on repeat were once again the centre of A Quiet Place 2. Please stop reading if you haven’t watched the movie yet, since spoilers are underneath. Alternatively, you may check out our A Quiet Place 2 guide and choose a theatre to see it.
The storey of A Quiet Place 2 is now back on track. To find the signal, Regan sets off on a journey to the island, where she hopes to discover its origin. Although the aliens cannot swim, they were picked up and stowed away on an island by the National Guard in the early days of the invasion to protect humanity from the cataclysmic threat. Except for the fact that a monster will eventually appear, of course.
So stay tuned for updates as we learn more. It’s completely out in the open right now.
