Kenan & Kel and Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide were two of the vintage Nickelodeon shows that Netflix added earlier this month, but the streaming service’s portfolio of nostalgic children’s programming just got a little bit bigger with the addition of another Millennial favorite.

You probably became enthralled with the exploits of Zoey Brooks and her friends in the enduring sitcom Zoey 101 if you were a child in the mid-2000s. Additionally, Netflix has recently added the first two seasons of the show, allowing users to visit Pacific Coast Academy and relive the school’s memorable theme tune.

What is Zoey 101 about?

Zoey 101, which had its premiere in 2005, follows adolescent Zoey Brooks (Jamie Lynn Spears) as she enrolls in Pacific Coast Academy, a Southern California boarding school where almost every Millennial had aspired to attend.

Chase Matthews (Sean Flynn), Dana Cruz (Kristin Herrera), Michael Barret (Christopher Massey), Nicole Bristow (Alexa Nikolas), Quinn Pensky (Erin Sanders), and Logan Reese are among the close-knit group of friends she meets while there (Matthew Underwood). Throughout the course of the program, her younger brother Dustin Brooks (Paul Butcher) also attends the same school.

The comedic sitcom follows the antics of Zoey and her friends as they engage in prank wars and run for class president among other mischievous activities. Over the course of the show’s four seasons, the will-they-won’t-they romance between Zoey and Chase also became a mainstay.

Only the first 25 episodes of the 61-episode series, which ended with a well-received finale in 2008, are currently available to stream on Netflix. You can presently watch the complete series on Paramount Plus if you want to watch everything from beginning to end.

Should you stream Zoey 101?

This definitely isn’t a question for you if you have pleasant recollections of watching Zoey 101 as a child; of course, you should watch the venerable Nickelodeon program on Netflix. However, it may be a little more trickier to respond to the question if you have never watched the series before or if you were either too young or old to watch it when it first aired.

Although Zoey 101 has largely held up, it is unmistakably a product of the mid-2000s. First of all, that entails a fixation with chunky mp3 players and an abundance of flip phones. Nevertheless, despite the fact that the characters’ attire and the technology they employ may seem antiquated, the show is still enjoyable to watch. Young viewers who want to watch something appropriate but not cartoonish will find it very appealing.
