The new Razor electric scooter is a throwback

The original Razor scooter has been given an electric makeover.

Is anybody familiar with the Razor scooter from the early 2000s? The Razor Icon, a bigger, more powerful version of the original, will let you relive some of that childhood memories. All the facts on Razor’s newest electric scooter are here.

The design of the Razor Icon

The aircraft-grade aluminium Razor Icon will be available in five different colours: orange, blue, red, pink, and black. The Icon’s simplistic design and sharply pointed edges give it an industrial vibe. Mounted above the front tyre is an LED headlight that may be triggered by braking.

Thumb controls on the left handlebar trigger the brakes, while an LED display on the right throttle indicates your speed and expected battery life. You can also slow the scooter down by stepping on the back fender.

The Icon has no suspension and runs on an airless 8.5-inch front tyre, which is usual for a scooter. The total weight of the device will be 26.5 pounds, which is the same weight as the Unagi Model One, the electric scooter at the top of our list.

A motor, speed, and strength are all embodied in this iconic symbol.
Using a 350-watt rear hub motor and a 36-volt lithium-ion battery, the Icon will be able to drive riders at up to 18 mph and have a range of around 18 miles, according to the business. There will be three modes of operation for riders to choose from: economy, regular, and sport.

Information about pricing and availability for Razor Icon
Even while Razor hasn’t given an official price tag for the Razor Icon, they have said that it would retail for less than $1,000 when it is made available to consumers. Razor’s Kickstarter campaign, however, allows you to buy the scooter in a variety of colours for only $549. Additionally, Razor offers a $599 tier for models in flashback orange, classic red, classic blue, and classic pink. All of these models are expected to ship in August of 2022.

According to the company’s Kickstarter website, the standard retail price will be between $100 and $150 higher than the early-bird rate, so we estimate it to cost between $649 and $700. The GoTrax G4 costs $580 on Amazon, which is a little pricey for an electric scooter with these specifications, but Razor intends to make this a flagship model. Source
