Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 Ti – Everything we know so far

A year after it was released, the RTX 3080 Ti is still one of the most desired cards on the market. This isn’t a surprise, given the graphics card’s ability to run 4K content. The RTX 3080 Ti may not be as powerful as the RTX 3090 or the just-announced RTX 3090 Ti, but it’s no slouch either. It is capable of bringing out the best in PC games in terms of graphics and performance. First shown at a virtual event at Computex 2021, Nvidia unveiled the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti and GeForce RTX 3070 Ti to expand its range of Ampere-based graphics cards.

The Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 is still tough to find a year after its debut. In order to obtain the illusive GPU, I purchased a pre-built PC. Consider it an alternative to shelling out the ridiculous price scalpers are asking for RTX 30 series GPUs. The RTX 3080 Ti is a superb card that should be in more PC gamers’ rigs due of the lack of availability.

Here’s what we know so far about the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti in that context.

Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 Ti release date

The Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 Ti was unveiled on May 31 and was on sale on June 3, 2021. Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 Ti isn’t simple to find unless you’re fast and lucky, given its popularity since its launch. It’s always gone in a flash.

Due to the semiconductor constraints that have generated a graphics card deficit, it is tough to find a prospective PS5 or Xbox refill.

Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 Ti price

Starting at $1,119, the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 Ti is an upgraded version of the GeForce RTX 3080. While it’s more expensive than the $699 RTX 3080, the $1,499 RTX 3090 is cheaper.

Since all new Nvidia and AMD graphics cards are expected to be in high demand for the majority of 2020 and all of 2021, we can expect the demand for the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti to be quite high. The GeForce RTX 3080 Ti’s pricing has been raised by retailers and scalpers. In order to keep the RTX 3080 from attracting cryptocurrency miners, Nvidia has taken steps to prevent it from attracting more generic scalpers. Efforts to keep these people in check have been fruitless thus far.

There has been a dramatic decline in the cost of graphics cards, although Due to supply chain bottlenecks, GPUs are still hard to come by.

Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 Ti performance

For those who want to play games at 4K resolutions at the highest possible framerates, Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 3080 Ti is exactly what you need. With its 1.5x quicker performance, it’s designed for PC gamers who want to upgrade from RTX 1080 or 2080 Ti, which it is 1.5 times faster than.

Additionally, with the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti, you can turn on full ray tracing and perhaps play games like Cyberpunk 2077 at 120 frames per second or more.

A lot is expected of you. Even so, the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti is superior to the GeForce RTX 3080 because of the more memory, CUDA cores, and higher clock speeds.

As a result, the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 Ti is aimed at PC gamers who are looking for a graphics card that can handle 4K gaming but isn’t too powerful for their desktop setup.

Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 Ti outlook

Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 3080 Ti may not be necessary if the RTX 3080 is sufficient for most games. The PS5 and Xbox Series X will allow game developers to push graphics even farther, which means that even the most powerful GPUs may struggle to keep up with the demands of PC games with everything turned up to the highest.

With ray tracing enabled, the RTX 3080 can’t handle the most demanding games at 60 frames per second. With the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 Ti, smooth, high-fidelity 4K gaming at 60 frames per second and beyond is now a reality. Players looking for the best possible graphics and performance will find the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti an exciting proposition now that high refresh rate monitors are more widely available.

Because of the persistent shortage of graphics cards, the RTX 3080 Ti has been a victim of the problem. That being said, it’s a graphics card worth getting pumped up about (as I can personally testify). If all else fails, you could always go with one of the pre-built PCs featured in our list of the best gaming PCs.
