History of Smashburger
Denver, Colorado is where this firm got its start in 2007. In collaboration with Consumer Capital Partners, it was founded by Tom Ryan and Rick Schaden in 2004. The burger has long been a traditional American dish; yet, as time has passed, its reputation has deteriorated, and it is now seen as a sloppy, greasy, and unhealthful option. Ryan and Schaden were determined to make a difference.
They solved this difficulty by making their burgers entirely of 100 percent Angus beef, which they then smashed together using their patented smashing process. In order to get the ‘Maillard Reaction,’ you must push down on the burger while it is being cooked, which will result in a whole different level of taste than you would get otherwise. The products used at each location are entirely organic and of the highest quality, and all meals are prepared to order using fresh, seasonal foods from the surrounding area.
Smashburger has done extraordinarily well for itself. In only nine years, they’ve grown to over 300 locations in 32 states and five countries, and they’re just going to continue to expand. They built their first drive-through restaurant in Houston, Texas, towards the end of 2015. According to Forbes magazine, they have also been awarded “America’s Most Promising Company.”
Ryan and Schaden have produced a burger that is unlike any other burger you’ll find at other fast food businesses. They did this by putting a strong emphasis on the quality of their ingredients. Aside from that, with their always increasing assortment of sandwiches, sides, desserts, drinks and alcoholic beverages, you’ll be able to find something for everyone on any given day or event.
