Here’s a look at what Apple may be preparing for its forthcoming smartphones’ cameras.
In any list of the iPhone’s best features, the camera will almost certainly be near the top of the list. This is why there’s a lot of speculation about what Apple plans to do with the iPhone 14 cameras once they’re released in the fall.

Preliminary iPhone 14 camera speculations are starting to emerge, giving us a clear sense of what to expect from the new models.

According to the iPhone 14 vs. iPhone 14 Pro reports, most of the key upgrades are reserved for Apple’s high-end devices.
With a larger megapixel count, the iPhone 14 Pro’s main cameras would be able to take better-resolution photos with more information. It might also mean a more feature-rich pro mode in the Camera app on the iPhone 14 Pro, giving photo professionals more tools to work with and modify when editing photographs.
As far as resolution is concerned, it’s not the only benefit of a 48MP main camera. Apple may, for example, use pixel-binning, in which many pixels are blended into a single image. Combined pixel captures more light and reduces noise in low-light conditions. Better low-light photography would be the ultimate outcome, albeit at the sacrifice of resolution.
A 48MP sensor as the iPhone 14 Pro’s main camera would open the door for Apple’s Pro phones to record 8K video, which is a crucial benefit. The iPhone 13 Pro can only record 4K video at 60 frames per second at the moment. In order to compete with some Android phones, such as the Samsung Galaxy S22, the forthcoming iPhone would need to have a higher-resolution sensor to address the technical limits on filming 8K video.

The iPhone 14 Pro will not include a periscope-style lens, but future iPhones will. A periscope lens isn’t included in the final design of Apple’s iPhone 14 Pro, which Kuo believes will be released next year, and other iPhone leakers now support that allegation.
4. Autofocus for the iPhone 14’s ultrawide camera
The following is an older rumor that isn’t getting much attention these days, but it’s still on the table for a possible improvement to the iPhone 14’s camera. Autofocus could be added to the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max’s ultrawide-angle cameras in the near future.
A similar function was added to Apple’s iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max ultrawide lenses if this is true. Apple’s Pro models’ ultrawide lenses presently enable macro mode, which might open the door for a normal iPhone 14 to acquire the feature.
