You can forget about the Hyundai IONIQ 5, since the successor is already here.

They are more than bedfellows: Hyundai and Kia are demonstrating to some of the more trendy auto firms how electric vehicles should be built.. A year from now, the much awaited IONIQ 6 will be unveiled, and fresh spy images are further increasing the anticipation.

Inside EVs has posted new photos of a carefully disguised IONIQ 6 being trained in Europe’s winter weather. The general form seems promising, despite the fact that it’s tough to discern fine details.

Although it’s a sedan, it doesn’t scream “EV” as it drives past, unlike some of the other vehicles on the market. An extremely huge rear end is concealed behind the covers, although it might just be monitoring equipment.

It might also not. Since this automobile is based on the Hyundai Prophecy concept, we can thank Inside EVs for bringing this to our attention. The IONIQ 6 might adopt the design cue, which included a spoiler on the rear. On the other hand, spoilers may disappear between conception and production, so we’ll have to wait and see what occurs.

Even if there is one, don’t hold your breath for it to be recognised at the next auto show.

At this time, very little is known about how well it will function. A single charge of the 800V design, which is capable of charging at 350kW, is expected to provide us up to 300 miles of range. The IONIQ 6 is believed to have a battery pack similar to that seen in Hyundai’s beautiful IONIQ 5. In other words, the system has a net capacity of around 76 kWh; however, we still need concrete information.

We don’t know much about the vehicle’s top speed, but those seeking for Tesla-level performance are definitely better off going elsewhere.

IONIQ 5, Hyundai’s first all-electric vehicle, is just just making its way throughout the United States, so it’s hard to look beyond it for the time being.

That being said, Hyundai seems to be, and these images imply that people who would prefer a sedan over a crossover for their driveway should postpone purchasing one for the time being. Also, begin your search for a Hyundai dealership in your area.
