Once again, Law and Order season 21 is getting a makeover.
D’oh! Are you all set to catch up on the new episodes of Law & Order: SVU? Well, we’ve got wonderful news: the original Law and Order is back! SVU and Organized Criminal were spinoffs of this crime procedural, which will be rebooted with Sam Waterston returning to play D.A. Jack McCoy in the lead role.
Nearly surpassing Gunsmoke’s record for the longest-running primetime drama, Law & Order aired 456 episodes over 20 seasons. Instead, after 23 seasons of broadcasting, the offshoot SVU took up the award (and counting).
Despite the fact that Waterston reprises his role as McCoy, the team now includes a fresh set of law enforcement officers and prosecutors. Jeffrey Donovan portrays Detective Frank Cosgrove, while Anthony Anderson takes on the role of Detective Kevin Bernard. Lieutenant Kate Dixon’s boss, Camryn Manheim, is in charge of them.
Hugh Dancy portrays Executive Assistant District Attorney Nolan Price, while Odelya Halevi portrays Assistant District Attorney Samantha Maroun in the courtroom of the film.
