There doesn’t seem to be a similar option for personal accounts. WhatsApp Business accounts
For the first time, WhatsApp is testing a new feature that will enable business accounts to have a profile picture.
An iOS TestFlight programme participant is now testing the functionality, which does not seem to be in development for ordinary user accounts, as reported by WABetaInfo.
In the Business Settings, you’ll soon be able to choose an existing picture or snap a new one to use as your profile’s cover photo, as seen in the screenshot above. Your cover picture will be visible to anybody who visits your company profile, including regular WhatsApp users.
Even if we’re lucky, WhatsApp may change its mind and bring this cover picture functionality over to the accounts of private users in the future—even before the service is rolled out to companies, if that’s the case.
As of right now, there’s no way to know when or even if this new functionality will be made accessible to companies. After all, beta versions may be removed from the App Store at any moment.
WhatsApp is one of the top iPhone and Mac applications for those who need to interact with people on different platforms and may be a helpful tool for both companies and private users.
