There is a new line of text that reminds users that their chats are encrypted and a link to a page explaining the benefits of using encryption and what it protects in the current beta of WhatsApp.
WABetaInfo contains all of the information you need:
End-to-end encryption now appears at the bottom of your status updates, calls, chats, and devices list after you’ve updated to WhatsApp beta for iOS 220.127.116.11. Messages, audio and video conversations, images, videos, and documents, as well as sharing your location and updating your status, are all protected by end-to-end encryption and can be accessed by touching the footer.
Although this page has been added, it’s merely an existing explanatory that can be accessed in the app’s settings section.
WhatsApp’s use of encryption is one of the factors contributing to its popularity as a top iPhone messaging software. A wide user base and cross-platform support make it an excellent choice for those who need to connect with individuals on other platforms, such as Android and Windows-based PCs, but it isn’t the only option.
