The winning ticket was purchased at Corner Liquor Shoppe, situated at 334 West Kennett Road in Pontiac, by an anonymous player.
The player answered, “I play instant games all the time.” ‘I believed I had won $1,000 when I scratched my Triple Millions ticket,'” he says. I went back to the store where I purchased the ticket and had them verify it. My friend and I were stunned when the clerk informed us that our ticket had won $1 million. When I felt the sensation, I couldn’t put it into words!
His award was recently claimed at Lottery headquarters, where the 25-year-old player could be found. A lump sum payment of around $693,000 was his preferred method of receiving his award rather than 30 annuity payments for the whole amount. He hopes to buy a house with his money.
More than $31 million has been won by players since the introduction of Triple Million in December. Winners of the $10 ticket can win rewards ranging from $10 to $1 million, depending on the number of tickets purchased. Among the remaining rewards are a $1 million top prize, three $10,000 prizes, and 21 $2,000 awards totaling more than $17 million in total prize money.
More than $1.8 billion was won in quick games in 2021 by lottery players.
