The iPhone 14 Max, the most anticipated model in the incoming iPhone 14 family, may be the one to suffer from delays in manufacturing. An analyst at Haitong International Securities, Jeff Pu, has a checkered track record when it comes to leaking Apple information.

According to 9to5Mac, Pu believes that the previously undisclosed iPhone model that is supposedly three weeks behind schedule is the speculated new iPhone 14 Max.

To replace the iPhone 13 small, which has apparently not sold very well, the iPhone 14 Max is expected to be unveiled. Apple is rumoured to be launching a 6.7-inch iPhone, but it is expected to have the same hardware as the iPhone 14’s 6.1-inch model. If you’ve already shelled out for an iPhone 13 Pro Max or prior Pro Max model solely because you needed the extra space, this could be the perfect solution.

Apple is expected to produce 91 million iPhone 14s, up from an estimated 84 million iPhone 13s last year, according to Pu. According to another rumour, Apple expects to produce 220 million iPhones by the end of the year. This suggests that the iPhone 14 Pro and the iPhone 14 Max may not sell as well as expected, with buyers either preferring the ordinary iPhone 14 or simply not upgrading to the new model.

Hopefully, Apple and its partners will be successful in their efforts to resolve the reported delay and all new iPhone models will ship out together in the customary September launch window. As a result, we may see a delayed or staggered release of the iPhone 12 series in 2020 if we don’t act now.

The base iPhone 14 is expected to remain mostly unchanged from the previous generation, right down to employing the same A15 Bionic CPU, according to rumours. For the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max, a new dual-punchhole notch is expected, as well as a redesigned A16 Bionic chipset and a 48MP main camera with optical image stabilisation (OIS).
