TCL showed off a variety of tablets at the MWC, including several new models, a 5G upgrade to an old model, and even a teaser for a future product.
TCL NxtPaper MAX 10
On the TCL NxtPaper MAX 10, the display is made up of many layers, the top of which features anti-glare glass in order to minimise the amount of reflections on the screen. For a better reading and writing experience, the display mimics the appearance and feel of paper (using the A-Pen stylus).
The tablet runs an earlier version of Android 11 and features a TCL Kids feature for use as a toy for children. To accommodate lengthy school days, the battery contains 8,000 mAh of power (this was designed with study from home in mind).
The NxtPaper MAX 10 will be available in Wi-Fi alone and 4G LTE variants in the coming months. Around €270 will be the suggested retail price in Asia when sales begin in the middle of the second quarter.
Acer Iconia Tab 10s 7″
The Tab 10s 4G has been given a facelift with the release of the Tab 10s HD. Two Cortex-A78 cores (2.4 GHz) and six A55 (2.0 GHz) cores power the MediaTek chipset, together with the Mali G57 MC2 GPU and the 5G modem (sub-6).
The octa-core A53 CPU and GE8320 GPU have been replaced with the new chipset, which provides quicker connection and greater power. Additionally, you receive an additional 4GB of RAM and an additional 64GB of storage as standard (plus a microSD slot).
Both the IPS display (1,920 x 1,200 px, 16:10) and the 8,000 mAh battery (with 18W charging capabilities) are the same as the 10.1-inch model from last year (charger included). Front and back-facing cameras have 5MP resolutions; Bluetooth 5.1, Wi-Fi 5 (ac), and dual speakers are also included.
For €350, the TCL Tab 10s 5G will arrive on sale in mid-Q2.

TCL Tab 10 FHD 4G
10.1-inch tablets don’t get much more inexpensive than this one (IPS LCD with 1,920 x 1,200 px resolution, 16:10). It is powered by a smaller 5,500 mAh battery and charges at under 10W, although it runs Android 11 (which includes the TCL Kids feature) (it takes around 3 and a half hours to get to 100 percent ).
The octa-core A53 CPU and PowerVR GE8320 GPU power the TCL Tab 10 FHD 4G. In addition to 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage, the chip may be expanded via a microSD card.
This one features 4G connection, as the name says (Cat. 4, 150 Mbps down, 50 Mbps up). Wi-Fi 5 (ac) and Bluetooth 5.0 are also included. A USB-C 2.0 port and a headphone socket are also included, as well as two speakers. Both the front and rear cameras on the tablet have 5MP resolutions and allow 1080p video at 30 frames per second (and video calling, of course).
This tablet will be sold in Asia beginning in late March for €200.
The TCL Tab 10 HD
Like the last tablet, this consists of two pieces. There’s no denying that the IPS LCD’s resolution is reduced (1,280 x 800 px, 16:9), but the 5,500 mAh battery and two 5-megapixel cameras (one on the front, one on the back) remain the same.
This includes the MediaTek processor (8x A53, GE8320). We mentioned there were two tablets since the one with 3/32 GB RAM runs Android 11, which is why we said there were two tablets. On the 2/32 GB variant, Android 11 Go Edition is pre-installed. Both contain a microSD card slot and 4G connection (150/50 Mbps).
The TCL Tab 10 HD is currently available in Europe for €180.
TCL hinted to a new tablet, the Tab Pro 12 5G, which would have a bigger screen and speedier next-generation connection. source
