Today, Sony unveiled a new gaming attachment for the Xperia 1 IV that adds active cooling and four more ports. Along with the accessories, Sony unveiled the new Xperia 1 IV Gaming Edition smartphone, which features 512GB of storage and 16GB of RAM.
Everything else from specs to the design is identical to the regular Xperia 1 IV meaning – a 6.5-inch 4K 120Hz OLED display, Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset and a 5,000 mAh battery. Buyers also get the newly announced Xperia Stream accessory bundled for free with the Xperia 1 IV Gaming Edition.
Retail price for the Xperia 1 IV Gaming Edition is JPY 175,000, or $1,225. Sony and Docomo in Japan have it available for pre-order now, and on Thursday, September 15, official sales will begin. The cost and availability for international customers are not yet known.
