According to the famous Digital Chat Station, a new Sony sensor has been sent to manufacturers for testing and is expected to arrive in the near future. According to some, this might be the reported Xiaomi 12 Ultra Exmor IMX800.
The 50MP, 1/1.1″ GN2 is the largest in the industry, beating out Samsung’s 50MP, 1/1.12″ GN2 featured in the Xiaomi 11 Ultra’s rear camera. They will still have the 50MP, 48MP, and 48MP resolutions of the Xiaomi 12 Ultra’s cameras but the hardware will be upgraded.
