The Television Academy revealed today that several Apple TV+ series, including “Severance” and “Ted Lasso,” had been nominated for 2022 Emmy Awards. In the category of Outstanding Comedy Series, “Ted Lasso” received a nomination, while “Severance” received a nomination for Outstanding Drama Series.
There is a good chance that “Ted Lasso” will win the Outstanding Comedy Series Emmy again this year. Only Murders in the Building, What We Do in the Shadows, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Hacks, and other series are fighting against the show.. In “Ted Lasso,” Jason Sudeikis plays a soccer coach in the United Kingdom who is a native of the United States.
Critics have given “Severance” an enthusiastic reception. Lumon Industries use a medical technique known as “severance” to keep its employees’ professional and personal life apart. Adam Scott plays a worker who seeks to reconcile the two aspects of his life and uncovers a vast web of deceptions and intrigues.
Some of the other nominations in the drama category include: “Better Call Saul,” “Yellowjacket,” “Euphoria” and “Yellowjackets” in addition to the previously mentioned shows.
Some of the Apple TV+ cast and crew have also been nominated for additional awards, including Outstanding Comedy Series Casting and Outstanding Comedy Series Directing for “Ted Lasso,” which got a total of 20 nominations.
Both John Turturro and Christopher Walken were nominated for their roles in “Severance” in the category of Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series. Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series was also nominated for Patricia Arquette.
“Lisey’s Story,” “Pachinko,” “Schmigadoon,” “The Morning Show,” “Central Park,” “Carpool Karaoke: The Series,” “The Problem With Jon Stewart,” “Foundation,” and “SEE” are among the other Apple TV+ series that have gotten Emmy nominations.
