The Resident Evil mythology gets a taste from Netflix.
A Netflix live-action series based on the Resident Evil franchise has arrived, and it’s attempting to establish itself as an essential (or at the very least, not forgettable) strand in the series’ lengthy and tangled film and television history. It all began with a great casting decision: Lance Reddick.
Resident Evil fans will recognize Reddick as Albert Wesker, a character performed by Reddick. Wesker discovers that the hazardous and mutation-creating T-virus has resurfaced, and he’s attempting to stop things from getting out of hand before they get out of hand in this episode.
Netflix’s Resident Evil takes set in both 2022, when Wesker is still trying to figure things out, and 2026, when his daughter Jade has escaped the T-chaotic Virus’s dystopia. Unfortunately, we already know what the “future” holds.
When is Resident Evil out on Netflix?
Netflix debuts its Resident Evil series on Thursday (July 14th, 2022) at 3:00 a.m. ET / 12 a.m. PT / 8 a.m. BST.
All eight one-hour episodes will debut at the same time.

Creating a paradise and erasing its negative reputation go hand in hand in the Resident Evil Netflix teaser. As soon as Lance Reddick mentions “T-virus,” everything goes awry. When there are monsters lurking around every corner, it’s time to crank up the chainsaw.
‘All is not well,’ said the first Resident Evil teaser trailer on Netflix. Everything is spotless at one point in time. The manner of life provided by Umbrella is one worth living. Except for the wild mouse in the microwave. After that, we’re transported to a dystopian London of the year 2036.

Lance Reddick, who portrays Albert Wesker, is the show’s star, although he may only be in it for a short time. Tamara Smart and Ella Balinska portray Wesker’s daughter Jade, respectively (in 2036). She portrays Billie, Jade’s twin sister who has the same DNA as Jade (in the 2022 frame of time).
Evelyn Marcus, the CEO of Umbrella, is played by Paola Nuez (Bad Boys For Life). The following actors have also been revealed:

For 14 years after a fatal virus has caused the world to end, Jade Wesker battles for life in an overrun planet overrun by blood-thirsty infected and deranged monsters, according to the series logline. Jade is tormented by her background in New Raccoon City, by her father’s dark links to the Umbrella Corporation, but most of all by what happened to her sister, Billie,” she explains.
Umbrella’s dark secrets are revealed almost three decades after they were discovered by an epidemic,” according to Variety(opens in a new tab) earlier reporting. Netflix has ordered eight episodes of the one-hour program.
