Motorola Edge 30 Neo in for review

Today, we welcome the Edge 30 Neo, dubbed “Best Design Android Phone” by Motorola, to our workplace. The unit is painted in Veri Peri purple, Pantone’s colour of the year for 2022. The other three hues—Aqua Foam, Black Onyx, and Ice Palace—also convey that the design is the main attraction.

Since we’ve already dealt with the Motorola Edge 30 Neo, we’ll concentrate more on the unpacking process and the colour of the phone.

The Edge 30 Neo comes with a USB-C connection and a 68W charger from Motorola.

Motorola claims an ambiguous ‘power for the day’ with just 10 minutes on the adapter. We’ll make sure to put more specific numbers to the charging times. Alternatively, you can charge the Edge 30 Neo at 5W on a wireless charger.

The Motorola Edge 30 Neo is a compact phone. Its display measures 6.28-inch, which places it in the Xiaomi 12X’s company, or close to the Galaxy S22. The Moto isn’t as premium on the inside, but you’d never guess it on the outside.

It has a nicely textured back panel and a quality 120Hz OLED on the front. As a bonus, the Edge 30 Neo also has IP52 splash resistance. The weight of 155g is impressively light these days too.

Finally, the Veri Peri color is dubbed by Pantone, the company recognized for having the de-facto color space for color calibration, as 2022’s color of the year. There’s a little plaque recognizing the Pantone validation on the box and on the phone.

The review team will now get this one, and they will soon report back with their results. Remain tuned!
