Microsoft Teams for Windows 11 now significantly faster, claims company

Microsoft has claimed that the code for Teams for Windows 11 has been improved greatly, making it significantly faster.

According to the company, latency has decreased by 11.4% when users scroll through the chat list, and scrolling through the channel list has decreased by 12.1%.

An update to Teams last year “improved its overall interaction reaction time and created a more fluid experience for the user,” according to a blog post from Microsoft.

When a user switches to a chat or channel, the compose message box loads 63 percent faster, allowing them to begin typing instantly.

Page load times have been reduced as well, according to the firm’s claims. Both the time it takes to switch channels and open a chat window have been reduced by a quarter.

The activity feed has shown a 17.4% improvement in thread switching. 3.1% of the time it takes to switch between conversation threads has been saved.

On average, 16% faster mute/unmute audio response and 9% faster navigation to the “Pre-meeting join” page have been achieved during calls.
