The state of Iowa — After no one matched all six numbers on Tuesday night’s Mega Millions drawing, the prize pool grew to $1.02 billion, a record high.
The new jackpot is expected to be the fourth-largest lottery prize in the United States.
As of April 15, no one has come up with a winning combination of all six of the game’s selected numbers. A large winner hasn’t been found in 29 out of the last 30 drawings.
The numbers for Tuesday were 07-29-60-63-66, with a Mega Ball score of 15.
In order to receive the $1.02 billion prize money, winners must opt for a 30-year annuity. Most winners choose the cash option, which is anticipated to be $602.5 million for the next drawing on Friday night.
You have a 1 in 302.5 million chance of taking home the big cash prize.
Playing Mega Millions requires a ticket to be purchased in 45 states (including DC and Puerto Rico) as well as the US Virgin Islands. The state lotteries are in charge of organizing the game.
