The capital city of England, London, is the location. In the aftermath of UFC Fight Night 208, Molly McCann was given a moniker.

McCann (13-4 MMA, 6-3 UFC) knocked out Hannah Goldy in the first round of their fight at The O2 in London with an elbow knockout.

McCann’s third consecutive victory has “The Meatball” eyeing a showdown with Antonina Shevchenko, the sister of the UFC flyweight champion (10-4 MMA, 4-4 UFC).

McCann told MMA Junkie at the post-fight news conference: “So I never call anyone out.” “That’s not my job. It’s Valentina who is the finest in the game when it comes to a long-term legacy, prestige, and honor, though (Shevchenko). Is Valentina ready for the challenge? No. Are Antonina and I ready for this? …and so on. I think so. This isn’t a slap in the face, it’s more like a compliment. “I think I’m going to f*ck you everywhere” isn’t what this is.

The answer is no. If they conduct just one fight camp for me, they’ll know exactly how to prepare me if I ever make it to Shevchenko. As a result, I’ll be armed with a blueprint for defeating her sister. My esteem for her is so tremendous that I’ve included her name in this post. So, I’d like you to tell her that I believe she’s the best, and that’s why I’m challenging her for it.”

Shevchenko recently defeated Cortney Casey via unanimous decision at UFC on ESPN 39. This was her first victory in her previous two fights.
