The jackpot for the 07/26/22 Mega Millions drawing was $830 million, with a cash value option of $487.9 million. The drawing was held on Tuesday night. There is a chance that the jackpot will grow based on how many tickets are sold before the drawing.
For the $630 million prize, the winning numbers were 14-40-60-64-66 with a Mega Ball of 16. There was a three-fold increase in the Megaplier.
Friday’s drawing did not have a grand prize winner; nevertheless, the game’s second prize was won by four players who bought tickets matching all five white balls except the gold Mega Ball. In Virginia, one of the second-prize tickets was sold for $1 million. One ticket in each of New Jersey, Delaware, and New York is worth $3 million because the Megaplier was an optional $1 add-on for each of those states.
On Friday, 105 tickets around the country matched four of the five white balls and the Mega Ball to win $10,000. There were 16 players that added the $1 Megaplier to their bets, resulting in $30,000 in third-place prize money for each.
